08-15-08 - End Wing Attach Assembly & Root Wing Angle
The block and the angle drilled and reamed to .2500 for the AN4 bolts.
I inserted a bolt in the first hole to maintain alignment
while
drilling the second one.
Drilling the whole for the wing attach bolts through the angle using
the hole in the block to locate it. I've got AN4 bolts in
place
to keep the block from moving. After this I dissassembled both blocks and primed them with zinc chromate.
Moving along - here is the .1875 2x2 angle used for the root wing
angles. The prints
call for 1.5x1.5 but the kit packing list identifies the 2x2 angle as
to be used for the parts (W11-07)
The root attach angles are similar to the end attach assembly, just
bigger.
I cut down the 2"x2" angle on the bandsaw.
Marked and ready for cutting. Quite a bit of material has to
come off.
