Flap Drive Mounts
I started by rough cutting the angle to size with the
hacksaw.
I used the square to draw straight lines for a starting point.
The hacksaw cuts are sort-of straight so I draw ref lines to
file down to.
The part rough cut down on the bandsaw and the holes pilot drilled to
#40.
The mount edge. I've definately gotten better with the
bandsaw.
Edges cleaned up with a file.
Per the plans the edge has to be radiused. I used my large
bastard file.
Marking and punching the mount holes for pilot drilling.
Mount holes pilot drilled - notice the hole markings showing through
the holes from the plans.
Making the mirrored part.
The bracket on the right is the first part I made - cleaned up and
sanded. The left is the second bracket.
Another view - the mount holes pilot drilled to #40.
We're going to Hawaii for two weeks, so there will be no updates until
we get back (end of April)
